Reconciliation Manager

About You

Join our pioneering team as a Reconciliation Supervisor, where you will lead a core function of our financial operations. In this role, you will be responsible for managing daily and monthly reconciliation processes, overseeing a growing team of analysts, and ensuring the integrity of high-volume transactional data across multiple financial channels.

You’ll play a key role in identifying and resolving complex discrepancies, enhancing internal controls, and contributing to broader financial and operational improvements. Job Description

Team Leadership & Supervision

  • Manage and mentor a team of reconciliation analysts to ensure accurate and timely execution of all reconciliation processes
  • Support professional development through ongoing coaching and performance feedback
  • Allocate tasks, set priorities, and manage workflow to maintain operational efficiency

Daily and Monthly Reconciliation

  • Oversee daily reconciliations of bank accounts, payment providers, and financial platforms
  • Perform monthly close reconciliations and variance checks in alignment with accounting standards
  • Review and approve high-value or escalated reconciliations

Discrepancy Resolution

  • Lead investigations into unresolved or unusual transaction discrepancies
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve reconciliation breaks promptly
  • Monitor recurring issues and develop preventive measures

Process Optimization

  • Evaluate current reconciliation practices and recommend improvements to enhance accuracy and scalability
  • Drive the adoption of automation tools and improvements in reconciliation efficiency

Reporting & Compliance

  • Ensure proper documentation, audit trails, and internal controls are maintained
  • Generate regular reconciliation reports, issue logs, and KPIs for leadership
  • Participate in audit preparation and financial reporting as required

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with finance, operations, product, and engineering teams to ensure reconciliation alignment
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in financial reconciliation during system changes or product launches

Ad Hoc Projects

  • Lead or participate in special projects, including new payment channel onboarding, system upgrades, and financial process improvements

Qualifications, Experience and Personality

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 4–6 years of relevant experience, including at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or team lead role
  • Strong knowledge of financial reconciliation processes in high-volume environments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of reconciliation tools or ERP systems is an asset
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
  • A proactive, hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Experience with SQL or data querying is a plus but not required
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • Discretion, integrity, and the ability to manage confidential information with professionalism
