Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your project management expertise in a dynamic and collaborative field. You’ll work alongside dedicated and results-oriented teammates.

You'll play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of technical publications and training activities across multiple projects. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (engineering, suppliers, project management), oversee a multidisciplinary team, and ensure deliverables meet quality and financial objectives, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of supervising up to three projects simultaneously while managing a team of up to 10 people, but also coordinating with stakeholders to meet delivery milestones.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Monitoring technical publications and training activities for up to 1-3 projects simultaneously

  • Supervising the work of a multidisciplinary team, including planning, coordination, and staff evaluations

  • Communicating regularly with key stakeholders such as customers, suppliers, and project management

  • Assessing change requests and ensuring the quality of deliverables

  • Reporting budgets to Project Managers and Services Managers

  • Analyzing customer requirements and preparing bids (hours and cost)

  • Managing training-related activities, including planning, logistics, and travel coordination

  • Ensuring delivery milestones are met to achieve financial success for projects averaging $10 million

  • Facilitating staff development, overseeing training, and managing succession plans

  • Meeting, discussing, and negotiating with stakeholders to align customer expectations and Alstom objectives

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree or DEC in engineering, project management, or related experience

  • Relevant experience managing shared employees

  • Strong planning knowledge and organizational skills

  • Negotiating skills with internal departments and customers

  • Experience in the transportation industry (considered an asset)

  • Proficiency in analyzing and preparing bids and documentation

  • Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams

Things you’ll enjoy Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  • Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from boring daily routines

  • Work with new security standards for rail signalling

  • Collaborate with transverse teams and helpful colleagues

  • Contribute to innovative projects

  • Utilise our flexible and inclusive working environment

  • Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries

  • Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning

  • Progress towards senior project management or leadership roles

  • Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension)

Bilingualism

Proficiency in French and English is required. Knowledge of a third language is considered an asset when working with our international partners, suppliers, colleagues, and customers. In Quebec, French remains the primary working language of our company.

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!

Important to note

As a global business, we’re an equal-opportunity employer that celebrates diversity across the 63 countries we operate in. We’re committed to creating an inclusive workplace for everyone.
