Job Summary

XXI Chophouse and The Doctor’s House are hiring skilled line cooks to join our culinary team for both our restaurant and banqueting departments. We are seeking experienced professionals who are confident running a station independently, maintaining high standards of execution, and working efficiently in both à la carte and high-volume banquet environments.

The ideal candidates will have strong experience on the sauté and sauce stations, with the ability to support garde manger and pastry operations as needed. You will be responsible for executing dishes with precision, maintaining consistency, and upholding the highest standards of food quality, cleanliness, and organization.

Duties

  • Execute dishes on the sauté station, including proteins, fish, seafood, pasta, and composed plates.
  • Prepare classic and contemporary sauces to standard.
  • Support garde manger production, including salads, cold appetizers, and plating.
  • Assist pastry with dessert preparation, plating, and banquet production when required.
  • Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, rotated, and handled according to food safety regulations.
  • Maintain mise en place levels to support both restaurant and banquet service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workspaces, utensils, equipment, and storage areas.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a line cook or in an upscale or high-volume restaurant.
  • Strong sauté technique and solid foundation in sauce work.
  • Experience in garde manger and basic pastry production.
  • Excellent knife skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining consistency and presentation standards.
  • Team-oriented, reliable, and organized.

Schedule

  • Variable schedule between Wednesday and Sunday, with shifts falling between 10:00-11:00 AM and 9:00-10:00 PM. Please note that scheduled hours may vary week to week.

Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
