Full job description
Derma9 Skin Rejuvenation Clinic is seeking a part-time Cosmetic Injector to work with our team. We welcome applications from qualified Registered Nurses (RNs), Nurse Practitioners (NPs), and Naturopathic Doctors (NDs) with medical aesthetic injection experience.
Our clinic combines personalized medical aesthetic care with a focus on natural-looking results, patient safety, and a positive patient experience.
Position and compensation
- Part-time independent contractor (percentage split) or employee (hourly wage) opportunity
Key responsibilities
- Consult with patients, review relevant health history, assess aesthetic goals, and identify contraindications within your professional scope.
- Provide neuromodulator, dermal filler, biostimulators, MCT/PRP treatments in accordance with your training, professional scope, clinic protocols, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- For RN practice, work under appropriate client-specific orders with the required on-site availability of the ordering or responsible health professional.
- Explain treatment options, expected outcomes, risks, and aftercare, and obtain and document informed consent.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and follow infection prevention and patient privacy standards.
- Recognize adverse reactions and complications, respond according to clinic protocols, and escalate care promptly.
- Provide follow-up care and collaborate with the clinical and front desk teams to coordinate appointments.
Qualifications
- Current practising registration or licensure in British Columbia as an RN or NP with BCCNM, or as an ND with CCHPBC.
- Appropriate education, practical training, and demonstrated competency in neuromodulator and dermal filler treatments.
- Previous hands-on cosmetic injection experience; two or more years of injecting experience is an asset.
- Clear communication, sound clinical judgment, attention to detail, and a patient-centred approach.
