Traffic Supervisor

Position Summary

The successful applicant will be responsible for coordinating workflow for trucks, trailers and drivers. This is a full-time position with flexibility to cover absences when required. We are searching for a forward thinker to join our team who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with strong organizational skills to help grow through continuous improvement and innovation.

What you will do

  • Dispatch and managing a specific fleet of drivers
  • Plan, arrange and schedule deliveries
  • Provide informed direction and specific instructions for driver and deliveries
  • Monitor drivers work hours and equipment availability
  • Develop an understanding of customer’s needs and take action to ensure requirements are met
  • Address service concerns with customers to ensure a positive experience
  • Troubleshoot and resolve potential delivery and pick up problems before they become a service failure
  • Ensure incoming orders are matched with correct equipment and driver experience
  • Maintain professional relationships with customer
  • Liaise with maintenance to ensure equipment availability for maintenance and inspections
  • Promoting and supporting all safety initiatives when performing roles and responsibilities
  • After hours emergency on-call
  • All other duties as required.

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ year transportation experience, required
  • 3-5 years related bulk dispatch experience, required
  • Experience in industries closely related to Mining Industry, preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to resolve conflict and solve problem
  • Strong organizational skills
  • A positive attitude and the ability to work as a team or independently
  • Mechanical background/knowledge of commercial vehicles
  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong attention to details
  • Ability to multitask

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
