Dispatcher / Freight Sales Representative

We are looking for an experienced Dispatcher / Freight Sales Representative to join our growing trucking operation. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Loadlink, booking freight, negotiating rates, and coordinating shipments from pickup to delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Search and identify suitable loads through Loadlink and other freight platforms
  • Contact brokers and customers to book and negotiate loads
  • Coordinate with our local dispatch team and drivers to ensure loads are properly assigned
  • Arrange and coordinate pickups and deliveries
  • Communicate pickup and delivery details clearly to drivers and dispatch
  • Track shipments and provide updates to customers and brokers when required
  • Maintain strong relationships with brokers, customers, and transportation partners
  • Negotiate competitive rates while maintaining profitable margins
  • Monitor schedules and resolve issues or delays as they arise
  • Ensure all required paperwork and load information is accurate and complete
  • Work closely with dispatch to maximize truck utilization and minimize empty miles

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous experience in trucking dispatch and/or freight sales is required
  • Strong experience using Loadlink
  • Good understanding of the Canadian trucking and freight industry
  • Experience booking loads and negotiating rates with brokers
  • Strong knowledge of pickup/delivery procedures and transportation logistics
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions quickly
  • Knowledge of LTL and/or general freight is an asset

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who is proactive, organized, and results-driven. The successful candidate should be comfortable picking up the phone, negotiating with brokers, finding the right freight, and working directly with dispatch and drivers to make sure every load moves smoothly.

Experience with Loadlink and an established network of broker contacts will be considered a strong asset.

Compensation

Competitive salary based on experience.
Additional performance-based incentives may be available for the right candidate.
