Kitchen Assistant

About 850 Degrees

850 Degrees is a busy, independently owned pizza restaurant in Etobicoke. We’re a close-knit team that takes pride in great food, a clean kitchen, and warm hospitality.

We’re looking for an energetic and dependable Kitchen Assistant who enjoys hands-on work and being part of a fast-moving team. Previous kitchen experience is welcome, but it isn’t required—we’ll provide training for someone with the right attitude and willingness to learn.

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, cutting, and portioning produce, meat, and poultry
  • Prepare starters, desserts, and other menu items according to our recipes
  • Support the pizzaiolo and kitchen team during food preparation and service
  • Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, utensils, cutting boards, equipment, and cookware
  • Keep food-preparation areas, floors, walls, and equipment clean and organized
  • Receive deliveries and safely organize food and kitchen supplies
  • Move ingredients from storage to preparation areas as needed
  • Follow food-safety, sanitation, and workplace-safety procedures
  • Work quickly, calmly, and efficiently during busy service periods
  • Help wherever needed to keep the kitchen running smoothly

What You’ll Bring
