Full job description

West Four Group of Companies, a leader in the Western Canadian market, specializes in the supply of doors, hardware, and building specialties. With trade brands including Security Building Supplies, Madero, Penner Doors & Hardware, WSI Modular, Two Six Creative, and West Four Distribution, we boast facilities across Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Red Deer, Regina, and Winnipeg. We are seeking a Accountant – Accounts Payable to join our Corporate Finance team in Saskatoon. This position will report to the Chief Financial Officer. The successful applicant will be goal oriented and believes in continuous improvement of processes.

Key Responsibilities:

· Verify Invoices against purchase orders and process vouchers

· Prepare cash requirements for executive approval for payments issued through various methods, including cheques, EFT, and other online payments platforms

· Maximize payment discounts

· Reconcile against vendor statements and respond to vendor inquiries

· Set up and maintain vendor A/P accounts

· Review and facilitate corporate credit card transaction posting

· Work with the finance team to consider, test, and implement continuous improvements to processes, with a focus on efficiency and adding value

· Apply technology to improve our Accounts Payable and vendor payment process

Qualifications:

· Minimum two years’ experience in accounts payable and/or similar accounting role

· Professional verbal and written communication skills

· A positive approach in working with vendors, teams, and the industry stakeholders

· Strong organizational and time management skills

· Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
