Calgary Progressive Lifestyles Foundation (CPLF) is seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team! This role is ideal for someone with a wheelchair-accessible home in Calgary who is passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

As a Respite Provider, you will support an adult female with a disability! She likes sports and video games! You will play an important role in fostering independence, encouraging community participation, and supporting social and recreational activities that promote personal growth and overall well-being.

Job Details

Job Requirements

  • A wheelchair-accessible home located in Calgary, AB - this includes ramps, lifts, transfers, and a wheel-in shower
  • Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search (completed within the last two years)
  • A compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach
  • Previous experience in disability support is considered an asset
  • A reliable vehicle and a valid Class 5 driver’s license
  • If hired, $2 million third-party liability vehicle insurance is required
  • Standard First Aid (Level C) certification (must be obtained within 3 months of hire)
  • General Commercial Liability Insurance (required upon hire)

  • Medication Administration
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention
  • Abuse Protocol
  • Positive Behavior Support
