Brantwood is seeking a skilled leader to fill an open position in one of our Residential Group Homes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to Direct Support Professionals (i.e., implementation of person centered goals that align with Brantwood's Vision, Mission and Values and Ministry of Children Community and Social Service's transformation agenda
  • Promote and practice positive collaboration between team members, locations and departments
  • Develop open and responsive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Lead diverse teams of individuals to unified goals that positively contributes to Journey to Belonging
  • Participate in the recruitment, selection and training of Direct Support Professionals and Students
  • Develop and manage scheduling and budgets to ensure policy compliance and concerns
  • Participate in the development and implementation of new processes and procedures
  • Respond independently to inquiries that are specific and require thorough knowledge of established policies and procedures
  • Work variable shifts (days, evenings, weekends and holidays)
  • Support the On-Call rotation by responding to emergency situations on a regular basis

Our Ideal Candidate will Possess

  • Post secondary Degree or Diploma in Human Services (i.e., Social Services, Developmental/Autism Services, Behavioural Supports, DSW, CYW, ECE)
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and dual diagnosis
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years providing leadership to teams and individuals utilizing coaching methods
  • Experience facilitating full inclusion for people with developmental disabilities in their community
  • Experience supporting individuals who communicate through non-verbal interactions
  • Time management skills
  • Valid G driver's licence and reliable vehicle

Successful Applicant will Provide

  • Current Emergency First Aid & CPR/AED (Level A)
  • 3 Year Driving Abstract
  • Pre-Employment Health Form
  • 2 Valid Covid 19 Vaccinations
  • Current NVCI training (preferred)
  • Vulnerable Sector Check (no more than 3 months old)
