Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound examinations to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular conditions. This role requires a strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology, along with excellent technical skills and attention to detail. The Cardiac Sonographer will play a vital part in providing high-quality patient care through accurate imaging and compassionate communication.

Duties

  • Conduct detailed echocardiograms and other cardiac ultrasound procedures on patients of all ages.
  • Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures, ensuring comfort, and positioning them appropriately.
  • Operate ultrasound equipment to capture clear images of the heart’s structure and function.
  • Analyze images for quality and accuracy, making adjustments as needed during the procedure.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including images and procedural notes, following confidentiality protocols.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, cleaned, and calibrated according to safety standards.
  • Stay current with advancements in cardiac imaging technology and techniques through ongoing education.

Skills

  • Proficiency in performing cardiac ultrasound procedures with precision and attention to detail.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to cardiology and diagnostic imaging.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
