Do you spend your evenings scrolling Amazon hunting for deals? Do you get a little rush when you find something 50% off? Do you love helping people and being part of an online community — and, on top of that, do you know how to write words that actually make people click and buy?

We're looking for a Deals Ambassador with a content-creator, copywriter's edge — someone who can be the English voice of our community across Canada. It's an evolving role where you'll learn every side of our business.

THE PROFILE WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Essential skills

  • Native English writing — this is the #1 requirement. Your copy has to sound effortless to a Canadian reader: idiomatic, sharp, zero translation smell.
  • A writer's instinct — you know how to grab attention, create desire, and make someone want to act, in a few words.
  • Familiar with Facebook — you already get pages, groups, comments, engagement. No need to be an expert, but the difference between a "post" and a "comment" has to be obvious.
  • Familiar with Amazon — you shop on Amazon.ca, you understand prices, reviews, product variations? Perfect, we'll show you the rest.
  • Comfortable with computers — no explanation needed.
  • Great at web research — you find information fast and navigate efficiently.

About language — read this carefully

This is a bilingual role in a French-speaking company. English is where you'll shine, but French is not optional:

  • English: native or native-level, in writing. This is what the role is built around.
  • French: you must be comfortable working in French every day — our team, our tools, our meetings and a big part of our content are in French. You'll read French, coordinate in French, and be able to write clear French when needed.

In short: if you're a strong English writer but you can't function in French, this specific role isn't the right fit — and that's OK, tell us honestly.

Nice-to-haves

  • Writing experience — blog, social media, marketing, journalism… anything that had you writing for an audience.
  • Design skills — Canva for creating visuals; even a basic level is an advantage.
  • AI experience — you know how to make it do the heavy lifting for you? We like that.
  • Consumer behaviour / retail — you understand why people buy and what pushes them to act.
  • Social media & trends — TikTok, Instagram, viral… if you catch trends before everyone else, that's a major plus.

Personal qualities

  • You learn fast — we'll train you on lots of new tools; it has to click quickly.
  • You're autonomous — we give you tools, training and plenty of support, but at some point you have to run on your own. We don't have time to micro-manage.
  • You make decisions — "Is this deal good enough to publish?" You judge fast without always asking permission.
  • You have good judgment — plain common sense! A product at -50% but 2 stars out of 5 with 200 negative reviews? You instinctively know that's not a good deal to push.
  • You're street smart — you read social dynamics, you sense when something's off, you adapt.
  • Initiative — a problem? You propose a solution. An opportunity? You grab it.
  • Attention to detail — a badly checked deal = disappointed friends. You double-check prices, stock and inclusions before publishing.
  • Time management — you juggle several tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Natural curiosity — always on the lookout; you constantly ask "why?" and "how can we do better?".
  • Resilience — deals die in 5 minutes, comments can be rough, days get intense. You bounce back and keep smiling.
  • Team spirit despite remote work — small team, 100% remote: you communicate, share your finds, and ask for help when you need it.
