Cadillac Mines Corporation is currently recruiting the following challenging and rewarding position to join our team.
Core Cutter
Cadillac Mines Corporation (CMC) is a Canadian exploration company that is actively drilling and conducting exploration activities to evaluate gold mineralization present around the historic workings of the Kerr-Addison Mine, situated in McGarry Township located in Northern Ontario. Since 2015, Cadillac Mines has drilled over 130,000m on the property and extensive land position extending 6km along the Larder Lake Cadillac Break. Cadillac Mines successfully defined significant gold mineralization over the years. In 2025, Cadillac Mines released a multi-million ounce combined open pit and underground gold mineral resource estimate. In addition, Cadillac Mines recently released an initial mineral resource estimate on the newly discovered Geminid nickel deposit, validating the mineralized potential of the Company’s land position. In addition, with the company's recent expansion across the Quebec boarder, Cadillac Mines’ Abitibi land position now encompasses an additional 20,000 hectares of tenure along the Larder Lake Cadillac Break, significantly enhancing the company's growth potential and offering exceptional exploration upside.
Role Summary:
Reporting to the Lead Core Technician, you will be responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient cutting of diamond drill core in support of the exploration program. This is a focused, high-output role requiring attention to detail, commitment to contamination control, and the ability to work at pace in an active core processing environment. You will also support core movement and facility housekeeping as directed.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe working environment for yourself and those around you by adhering to Cadillac Mines Environmental, Health and Safety policies
- Cut drill core at marked intervals using diamond-blade core saws, following established Core Sampling Procedures Label, bag, and organize samples according to the sample dispatch plan
- Maintain strict chain-of-custody protocols for all sample handlingClean the cutting area diligently between drill holes and at the end of each shift to maintain a safe and organized worksite
- Operate saws and other equipment safely and in accordance with training and site policiesInspect and maintain cutting equipment, manage consumables inventory, and report any equipment issues promptly
- Participate in toolbox talks and contribute to a proactive safety cultureMove core to logging tables, the cut shack, and core storage as required, operating a forklift where needed
Complete all other tasks assigned by the Lead Core Technician or Project Manager
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in exploration, mining or an industrial setting is considered an asset
- Valid driver’s licence
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, with willingness to participate in daily hazard assessments and ongoing safety training
- Comfortable working with machinery, power tools, and sample handling in an active industrial environment
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly; able to stand for extended periods and work in variable weather conditions
- Ability to follow instructions, maintain focus, and work at pace in a fast-paced environment
- First Aid and WHMIS training considered assets
Schedule:
Position is project based, working 8 days at site followed by 6 days off rotation. Typical workday is 10 hours. Details including start dates and specific rotation schedules will be discussed with selected candidates.

Résumé du rôle :
Relevant du technicien en chef de carottage, vous serez responsable de la coupe sûre, précise et efficace des carottes de forage au diamant dans le cadre du programme d’exploration. Il s’agit d’un rôle précis et à fort rendement qui exige un grand souci du détail, un attachement au contrôle de la contamination et la capacité de travailler au rythme d’un environnement dynamique de traitement de carottes d’échantillon. Vous participerez également à la circulation des carottes et à l’entretien des installations selon les directives.
Tâches principales :
- Maintenir un environnement de travail sécuritaire pour vous-même et pour vos collègues conformément aux politiques sur l’environnement, la santé et la sécurité de Cadillac Mines.
- Couper les carottes de sondage à intervalles marqués à l’aide de tronçonneuses diamantées, en suivant les procédures de carottage établies.
- Étiqueter, emballer et organiser les carottes d’échantillon conformément au plan d’expédition des échantillons.
- Maintenir les protocoles stricts de la chaîne de conservation pour toutes les manipulations d’échantillons.
- Nettoyer soigneusement la zone de coupe entre les trous de forage et à la fin de chaque quart de travail pour maintenir un lieu de travail sûr et organisé.
- Utiliser les scies et autres équipements en toute sécurité et conformément à la formation reçue et aux politiques du lieu de travail.
- Inspecter et entretenir l’équipement de coupe, gérer les stocks de matières consommables et signaler rapidement tout problème d’équipement.
- Participer à des discussions sur la sécurité et contribuer à une culture proactive de la sécurité.
- Déplacer les carottes vers les tables de transfert, le centre de coupe et la carothèque selon les besoins, en utilisant un chariot élévateur au besoin.
- Effectuer toutes les autres tâches assignées par le technicien en chef de carottage ou le chef de projet.
Exigences :
- Diplôme d’études secondaires ou équivalent.
- Une expérience antérieure en exploration, en exploitation minière ou en milieu industriel est considérée comme un atout.
- Permis de conduire valide.
- Attachement démontré à la sécurité, volonté de participer aux évaluations quotidiennes des dangers et à la formation continue sur la sécurité.
- Être à l’aise de travailler avec des machines, des outils électriques et à manipuler des échantillons dans un environnement industriel dynamique.
- Être en bonne forme physique et être capable de soulever des charges allant jusqu’à 50 lb de façon répétée; capable de rester debout pendant de longues périodes et de travailler dans des conditions météorologiques variables.
- Capacité à suivre les instructions, à rester concentré et à travailler à un rythme soutenu dans un environnement dynamique.
- La formation sur les premiers soins et la connaissance du SIMDUT sont considérées comme des atouts.
Horaire :
Le poste est lié au projet et comporte un horaire en rotation de 8 jours de travail sur le site suivis de 6 jours de congé. La journée de travail typique est de 10 heures.
