ABOUT US:

Shift Imaging is a leading provider of diagnostic imaging services committed to patient-centred care, clinical excellence, and innovation. We are currently seeking a full time Ultrasound Technologist to join our collaborative and growing medical imaging team.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Ultrasound Technologist performs high-quality sonographic examinations focusing on general, obstetrical, small parts, and women's imaging. MSK skillsets are considered an asset.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams as requested by healthcare providers, using real-time imaging and dynamic assessments.
  • Collaborate closely with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure accurate interpretation and clinical correlation.

Acquire and assess high-quality images in accordance with clinical protocols and standards of Sonography Canada.

  • Maintain accurate and complete patient records in compliance with privacy legislation (e.g., PHIPA).
  • Support interventional procedures (e.g., ultrasound-guided injections and biopsies) where applicable.
  • Participate in continuing education and quality improvement initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate of an accredited Canadian Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
  • Current and active registration with Sonography Canada in good standing, with credentials in Generalist or MSK preferred.
  • Additional certification in RMSKS (via Sonography Canada or ARDMS) considered a strong asset.
  • Registration with the ACMDTT
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • CPR certification and up-to-date immunizations as per provincial guidelines.
