Overview
Medical Cardiac Canadian Center seeking a skilled and dedicated Sonographer MUST be registered with CMRITO in a good standing to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing ultrasound examinations/ stress Echo test to assist in diagnosing and monitoring various medical conditions.

Registered Cardiac Sonographer

Education

  • Graduate from a Canadian accredited Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography Program
  • Certification with Sonography Canada (Canadian Association of Registered Diagnostic Ultrasound Professionals - CARDUP).
  • Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario (CMRTO) as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS).
  • One year or more experience in echocardiography is preferred.
  • Proficiency in cardiac medical terminology is essential for clear communication within the healthcare team.
  • Strong knowledge of ultrasound physics, anatomy, and pathology.
  • Familiar working on GE echo machine.
  • Current BCLS certification.
  • Certification in IV skills an asset

Duties, Responsibilities and skills

  • Perform adult echocardiography and stress echocardiography exams with and without contrast as per physician orders, ensuring adherence to established protocols.
  • Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and addressing any concerns they may have.
  • Operate echocardiography equipment efficiently and safely, following established protocols.
  • Review images and provide initial observations to assist physicians with diagnostics.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient information and procedures performed.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver optimal patient care.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in healthcare practices.
