The Opportunity

We are seeking a Full-Time CLXT & X-Ray Technologist to join our growing diagnostic imaging team. This role plays a key part in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services while ensuring a safe, professional, and compassionate patient experience.

The successful candidate will work closely with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary clinical teams, supporting both diagnostic and interventional imaging services across multiple clinic locations.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care & Experience

  • Create an exceptional patient experience by providing professional, compassionate, and patient-centered care
  • Anticipate and address patient anxieties by answering questions and maintaining a calm, supportive clinical environment
  • Obtain patient histories and educate patients on examination procedures
  • Review procedures for appropriateness and patient eligibility

Technical & Clinical Responsibilities

  • Set up, adjust, and operate X-ray equipment, selecting appropriate technical factors to obtain accurate diagnostic images
  • Assist Beam physicians with interventional procedures, including preparation of the fluoroscopic suite and operation of the C-arm and processing equipment
  • Follow principles of proper aseptic technique and infection control during procedures
  • Maintain quality assurance standards for imaging equipment, including completion of quality control logs

Documentation & Quality Standards

  • Accurately complete all required documentation and paperwork
  • Maintain company standards related to quality of work, methodology, turnaround time, and confidentiality of results
  • Assist with inventory control and stocking of imaging supplies
  • Support training and mentorship of X-ray staff as required

Professional Practice & Compliance

  • Perform duties under the guidance of the Clinic Manager
  • Maintain full knowledge of Beam Radiology procedures, standards, and documentation requirements
  • Protect patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information at all times.
  • Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications & Experience

Required

  • Diploma or Degree in Medical Radiologic Technology or Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technology from an accredited institution
  • Registered member in good standing with ACMDTT
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Patient-focused orientation with a commitment to clinical excellence
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and composure under pressure
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, and internet-based systems

Preferred / Assets

  • Certification and/or experience in Interventional Fluoroscopy
  • Experience supporting interventional radiology or pain management procedures

Work Schedule & Environment

  • Full-time position
  • 8-hour shifts
  • A variety of shifts available, with flexibility for evenings and/or weekends
  • In-person role across Beam Radiology clinic locations
  • Ability to travel within Calgary to all Beam Radiology sites is required
