Diagnostic Imaging Technologist

Permanent Part-time (Primary site: Kirkland Lake)

Compensation & Benefits Information

  • Rate of pay ranges from: $36.84 to $51.77, as per the OPSEU Collective Agreement
  • Eligibility to enroll in the HEALTHCARE OF ONTARIO PENSION PLAN (HOOPP). For more information, please visit- https://hoopp.com/
  • Percent in lieu of benefits and vacation percentage paid out bi-weekly, up to 20% as per the OPSEU Collective Agreement

Job Summary

The Medical Radiation (X-ray –CT) Technologist is accountable to the Manager, Medical Imaging. Under the direction of a Radiologist/Cardiologist/Internist, he/she performs the procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, with skill, ingenuity, and initiative. Must assume responsibility for designated areas and procedures as required.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved course for Medical Radiological technologists.
  • Registered with the Ontario College of Medical Radiation Technologists (CMRITO).
  • Completion of CT parts 1, 2 and 3 CAMRT courses will be considered an asset.
  • Clinical Practice in a CT environment will be considered an asset.
  • Minimum three (3) years of CT experience will be considered an asset.
  • Required to perform x-ray and CT duties as assigned
  • Available to work all shifts (ex: days, evenings, weekends, on-call)
  • Bilingualism will be considered an asset
  • Other duties as assigned
