Full job description

Sales & Business Development – Housing Projects

EkoBuilt is looking for a proactive sales and business development person to identify housing project opportunities, build relationships, coordinate RFP/proposal responses, and move qualified opportunities toward revenue. This position includes a competitive base salary with the opportunity for significantly higher on-target earnings based on performance.

This is a hands-on role for someone who is resourceful, curious, organized, and comfortable creating opportunities from the ground up. The right person will be able to research the market, find the right contacts, start conversations, follow up consistently, and help coordinate the internal work needed to move deals forward.

The focus will be on multi-unit housing, townhomes, stacked townhomes, affordable housing, community housing, mid and low-rise multi-unit residential buildings (MURBs), and developer-led projects suited to EkoBuilt’s Net Zero and Passive House prefabricated wall, floor, and roof panel systems.

Responsibilities

  • Identify new project opportunities through research, RFP portals, planning applications, development news, networking, and outbound prospecting.
  • Build relationships with developers, housing providers, architects, general contractors, municipalities, and non-profit housing organizations.
  • Manage outreach by email, phone, LinkedIn, and in-person networking.
  • Build and maintain a qualified sales pipeline in CRM.
  • Qualify opportunities and coordinate next steps with leadership.
  • Lead RFP and proposal coordination, including deadlines, required documents, internal inputs, submissions, and follow-ups.
  • Work with estimating, design, technical, and leadership teams to produce complete, professional responses.
  • Keep opportunities moving from first contact through proposal, follow-up, and close.

Qualifications

  • 3–7+ years of experience in sales, business development, construction, real estate, partnerships, or a related field.
  • Strong research, communication, and follow-up skills.
  • Comfortable with outbound outreach and relationship-building.
  • Organized, persistent, and able to manage multiple opportunities and deadlines.
  • Strong aptitude and willingness to learn housing, construction, prefab, and technical sales.
  • Experience with construction, housing, real estate development, building products, prefab, RFPs, or proposal coordination is an asset.

This role is for someone who can connect the dots, create opportunities, coordinate internal teams, and move the sales process forward.

Pay: $60,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
