Purpose :
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Deskside Support Technician. Our team includes world class experts and dynamic go-getters. This is a full-time position based in Pickering, Ontario.

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Desktop Support Technician to join our Pickering office. This role is primarily onsite and requires someone who can provide deskside support while also assisting with broader IT systems. You’ll be the local IT resource for troubleshooting, maintenance, and support across multiple technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver onsite and remote support for Windows systems in the Pickering office.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for local staff.
  • Configure and deploy desktops, laptops, and peripherals for the site.
  • Provide administrator support for Epicor, our cloud-based ERP system.
  • Assist departments with improving computer processes and solutions.
  • Support non-desktop IT systems including:
    • Networking: Basic troubleshooting of switches, routers, and Wi-Fi.
    • Servers & Storage: Assist with Windows Server and Active Directory tasks.
    • Cloud Services: Provide first level support for Microsoft 365 and Teams.
    • Mobile Devices : Assist with iOS/Android devices for staff.
  • Collaborate with regional IT teams on site projects and upgrades.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and asset records for the Pickering site.

What you will bring:
Technical and Industry Experience:

  • 2+ years in IT support or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Office 365, and common business applications.
  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Experience with Active Directory and basic server administration.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities onsite.

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong customer service and communication abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Comfortable working independently and in team-based environments.
  • Physically able to lift and move IT equipment as required.

Work Environment

  • Primarily site-based with occasional after-hours or on-call support.
  • May require travel between local sites.
  • Fast-paced operational environment.

Nice to Have:

  • IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft).

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree required.

For applicants based in the province of Ontario, the salary range is $76K to $90K CAD.
