Full job description

We are seeking a hands-on Industrial Designer with a strong focus on R&D, CAD modeling, prototyping, and quality assurance. This role is ideal for a designer who thrives on turning ideas into tangible products — from concept exploration through prototyping, testing, and final refinement. The successful candidate will work closely with engineers and manufacturing teams to ensure our designs are both innovative and production-ready.

Responsibilities

Product Design:

· R&D & Concept Development – Contribute to new product innovation through research, brainstorming, and rapid prototyping.

· 3D Modeling & CAD – Create and refine detailed CAD models (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and update design tables within established frameworks.

· Prototype & Testing – Build, evaluate, and test prototypes to validate function, usability, and manufacturability.

· Quality & Validation – Assist in QA reviews of new and existing products, identifying issues early and recommending improvements.

· Collaboration – Work closely with engineers, production teams, and suppliers to ensure designs meet technical, cost, and production feasibility.

· Manufacturing Knowledge – Apply understanding of milling processes, punching, and fabrication techniques to ensure design-for-manufacture.

· Design Support – Provide day-to-day design assistance on product modifications, problem solving, and continuous improvement initiatives.

· Documentation – Maintain accurate project files, drawings, and reports throughout the design cycle.

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Industrial Design, Product Design, or Mechanical/Design Engineering.
  • 2–5 years of experience in industrial/product design, ideally in manufacturing or lighting/consumer goods.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
  • Strong hands-on skills in prototyping, model-making, and testing.
  • Familiarity with milling and punching processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance creativity with technical and production requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance processes is a strong plus.

Assets (Nice-to-Haves)

· Exposure to lighting or consumer product industries.

· Strong design portfolio showcasing both concept and technical execution.
