Full job description

Minuteman Press Milton is looking for a dependable, creative, and detail-oriented person to join our team full-time. This hands-on position combines graphic design and artwork preparation with print production and finishing.

The successful candidate will help take customer projects from artwork through to a professionally finished product.

Responsibilities

  • Create and modify artwork for business cards, brochures, flyers, signs, banners, and other printed products
  • Prepare and adjust customer-supplied files using Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Review and preflight PDF files for correct sizing, bleed, resolution, fonts, and colour
  • Make practical artwork corrections so files are ready for production
  • Operate digital printing and finishing equipment
  • Perform cutting, folding, binding, laminating, mounting, and related production work
  • Inspect completed jobs for accuracy and quality
  • Keep jobs organized and meet production deadlines
  • Communicate with customers and team members to resolve artwork or production questions
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Experience preparing artwork and PDF files for print production
  • Good understanding of bleed, colour, resolution, fonts, and print-ready file requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organizational and time-management skills
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a small team
  • Able to manage multiple jobs in a deadline-driven environment
  • Willing to learn new equipment and production processes
  • Previous print-shop, prepress, signage, or production experience is an asset
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
