Associate Dentist – Full-Time | Huntsville, Muskoka
Huntsville Smiles Dentistry (formerly Dr. Doug Litchfield Dentistry) is seeking a motivated and compassionate Full-Time Associate Dentist to join our well-established, non-corporate dental practice in Huntsville, Muskoka.
Serving the Huntsville community for almost 40 years, our practice has built a strong and loyal patient base. With two established hygienists, consistent patient flow, and an experienced clinical and administrative team, this is an opportunity to step into a busy schedule from day one while building a rewarding, long-term career.
We place a strong emphasis on teamwork, communication, positive practice culture, and lasting patient relationships. We offer clinical autonomy, with mentorship and support available if desired.
The position is Monday to Friday, with no evenings or weekends, offering an excellent work-life balance. Huntsville is located in beautiful Muskoka, approximately a two-hour drive from Toronto.

Potential Student Loan Forgiveness – Up to $60,000
Dentists working in eligible rural communities may qualify for the Government of Canada's Student Loan Forgiveness Program, providing up to $60,000 in federal student loan forgiveness over five years.
Eligibility depends on the workplace community, qualifying service, outstanding federal student loan balance and other government requirements. Applicants are encouraged to verify their individual eligibility.

Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive examinations, diagnosis and treatment planning
- Provide restorative and preventive dentistry
- Perform endodontic and basic surgical procedures within your scope and comfort level
- Educate patients regarding oral health and preventive care
- Maintain accurate and complete clinical records
- Collaborate effectively with hygienists, dental assistants and administrative staff
- Provide ethical, patient-centred dental care
- Maintain appropriate infection prevention and control standards

Qualifications
- DDS or DMD degree
- NDEB certification
- Registered or eligible for registration with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO)
- Minimum one year of clinical experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to ethical, patient-centred care
Compensation
40% of collections, less applicable lab fees, with the opportunity for higher percentage-based compensation as collections grow.
Our established patient base and consistent patient flow offer strong earning potential, with the opportunity to step into a busy schedule from day one.
