Full job description

Dental Office Manager | Leadership & Growth Opportunity

Location: Red Deer, Alberta | Full-Time | Established Dental Practice

Are you an experienced dental leader who loves developing people, building strong teams, and creating a practice where everyone can thrive?

We are partnering with an established, growth-minded dental practice in Red Deer that is looking for an exceptional Office Manager to lead its next chapter.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about both the people and business sides of dentistry. Someone who understands that a successful practice is built on more than production numbers — it's built on strong leadership, a supported and engaged team, exceptional patient experiences, and systems that allow everyone to do their best work.

Our Vision

We are building a practice where people are proud to work, patients feel confident in their care, and a united team drives lasting success.

We believe that when people feel valued, supported, and empowered to grow, great things happen. Our goal is to create an environment where team members genuinely enjoy coming to work, patients receive exceptional care, and everyone understands how their contribution makes a difference.

We are looking for a leader who shares that vision and is excited to help bring it to life.

The Opportunity

As our Office Manager, you will play an important role in shaping the culture, strengthening operations, and supporting the continued growth of the practice.

You will work closely with an engaged and supportive ownership team that is committed to investing in its people, developing strong leadership, and building a successful, sustainable practice.

This isn't about simply keeping the schedule full or managing the day-to-day. It's about creating an environment where people are accountable, communication is strong, systems work, and the team feels confident and supported.

What You'll Be Responsible For

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and support a collaborative, high-performing team.
  • Build a positive workplace culture rooted in trust, respect, accountability, and open communication.
  • Establish clear expectations and help team members take ownership of their roles.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and professional development.
  • Address challenges proactively, fairly, and with a solutions-focused mindset.

Practice Operations

  • Oversee daily operations to ensure an efficient, organized, and exceptional patient experience.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain systems and standard operating procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, scheduling, communication, and team efficiency.
  • Work collaboratively with clinical providers to support a seamless patient journey.

Business Performance & Growth

  • Understand and monitor key practice performance indicators, including production, collections, scheduling, and operational efficiency.
  • Use data to identify opportunities and support informed decision-making.
  • Partner with ownership to establish priorities, implement improvements, and achieve practice goals.
  • Balance business performance with team wellbeing and the delivery of excellent patient care.

Who We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who brings both experience and heart to their leadership.

Our ideal candidate:

  • Has previous dental office leadership experience and a strong understanding of dental practice operations.
  • Is a confident, approachable person who knows how to bring people together.
  • Understands the importance of financial performance, KPIs, and operational accountability.
  • Communicates clearly, professionally, and respectfully.
  • Is organized, proactive, and comfortable making decisions.
  • Enjoys developing others and celebrating team successes.
  • Can navigate difficult conversations with empathy and confidence.
  • Is adaptable, solutions-focused, and excited about continuous improvement.

Most importantly, we are looking for someone who genuinely cares — about the team, the patients, and the long-term success of the practice.

What You Can Expect From Us

We believe great leaders deserve great support.

You will have the opportunity to work alongside a supportive ownership team that values collaboration, welcomes ideas, and is committed to building a practice where people can grow.

You will also receive dedicated leadership development and operational support through Dental Director Academy, including access to professional education, coaching, proven management resources, and ongoing mentorship.

We want you to be successful, and we're committed to giving you the tools, support, and opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Ready for Your Next Chapter?

If you're an experienced dental leader looking for an opportunity to make a real difference, we would love to hear from you.

We aren't looking for someone to simply fill a position. We're looking for a leader who wants to help build something exceptional.

This recruitment is being conducted confidentially on behalf of an established Red Deer dental practice. Additional practice details will be shared with shortlisted candidates.

Pay: From $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 – 40.0 per week
