Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will assist dentists in providing high-quality patient care, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the office. This role requires a blend of clinical expertise and excellent interpersonal skills to create a welcoming environment for patients.

Schedule: Part time or Full time both options available

For Full time: 40 hrs/week Guaranteed
PAY RATE: Depends upon ability to work at any Greenwoods Location in Winnipeg , Experience and availability on weekends including Sundays.

Location: Across All Greenwoods Winnipeg Locations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
  • Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness in the treatment area according to infection control protocols.
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently.
  • Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and managing patient inquiries.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred; experience in pediatrics or orthodontics is a plus.
  • Proficiency in dental software such as Maxident is desirable.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients of all ages.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
  • Certification in dental assisting is MANDATORY.
  • Familiarity with CAD technology is a major advantage.
