Job Type: Full-time
Location: In person

About the Role

We are looking for a Flooring Associate / Coordinator to join our Flooring Department.

This position is ideal for someone who has experience in flooring, construction, estimating, project coordination, or customer service—or someone who is highly motivated to learn and build a long-term career in the flooring and construction industry.

We are looking for someone who is an excellent communicator, highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities at once. You will work directly with customers, project managers, installers, suppliers, and our Flooring Division Manager to ensure projects are organized, scheduled, and completed successfully.

Please include a cover letter with your application.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Attend job sites for estimates, measurements, product selections, and customer meetings
  • Present flooring options and assist customers with product selections
  • Assess customer needs and provide appropriate flooring solutions
  • Coordinate projects between customers, Project Managers, the Flooring Division Manager, Install Coordinator, suppliers, and installers
  • Schedule and dispatch flooring installers for installations, service calls, and site meetings
  • Coordinate materials, deliveries, and small equipment/sundries as required
  • Prepare purchase orders, work orders, and project documentation
  • Track project schedules and ensure jobs remain organized and on schedule
  • Communicate regularly by phone, email, text, and in person
  • Resolve scheduling, material, installation, and customer issues quickly and professionally
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Continue developing knowledge of flooring products, installation methods, and industry trends
  • Identify additional flooring and renovation opportunities where appropriate

What We're Looking For

You must be an excellent communicator and multitasker. This role involves a high volume of phone calls, emails, texts, customer meetings, scheduling, and coordination, so the ability to prioritize, listen, read, write, and think quickly is essential.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience with flooring materials and installation methods is preferred
  • Experience with estimating or project coordination is an asset
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to problem-solve and make decisions independently
  • Comfortable dealing directly with customers and trades
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites

Additional Assets

Experience with any of the following would be considered an asset:

  • Xactimate
  • Encircle
  • SketchUp
  • ICC
  • Restoration industry
  • Construction estimating
  • Flooring estimating
  • Local flooring suppliers and products

The Opportunity

One of the great things about this position is that many of the projects are already generated for you. You aren't expected to spend your day cold-calling or chasing leads.

Our customers already have flooring needs, and your role is to help them select the right products, coordinate the project, and ensure the installation is completed properly and efficiently.

Once you become established in the role, there is also an opportunity to develop additional flooring installation and renovation business and earn additional sales commissions with no cap.

Salary will be based on experience, with significant earning potential for the right candidate.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary: $50,000–$100,000+ based on experience and performance
  • Additional sales commission opportunity with no cap
  • Company vehicle
  • Company cell phone with data
  • Company laptop
  • Extended health and dental benefits after the 3-month probationary period
  • Additional $750 annual wellness/health allowance that can be used toward eligible health or dental expenses, fitness/gym memberships, sporting equipment, or other wellness-related purchases
  • On-site parking
  • Long-term career growth opportunities
  • Supportive team environment

Who Will Succeed in This Role?

This position would be a great fit for someone who:

  • Enjoys dealing with people and building customer relationships
  • Can confidently communicate with customers, contractors, and trades
  • Is organized and doesn't let details fall through the cracks
  • Can juggle multiple projects without becoming overwhelmed
  • Enjoys solving problems
  • Has an interest in flooring, construction, renovations, or restoration
  • Wants an opportunity to grow into a larger role within the business

If you're knowledgeable about flooring and construction, that's great. If you're highly motivated, organized, and eager to learn, we'd like to hear from you as well.

Please submit a resume and cover letter outlining why you would be a good fit for the position.
