Key Responsibilities

  • Operate the Service Truck to safely replenish critical locomotive supplies, including traction sand, sanitation and various oils.
  • Perform basic locomotive servicing tasks such as fluid checks, minor cleaning, and supply delivery.
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain the service truck in excellent working condition.
  • Follow all railroad safety rules, company procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with rail yard personnel, dispatch, and supervisors via radio or in-person.
  • Complete required paperwork, logs, and service reports accurately and on time.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Assist with other related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Previous experience operating service trucks, hydrovac trucks, or working in rail/mechanical environments is a strong asset.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as part of a rotating schedule.
  • Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Strong commitment to safety and following procedures.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Willingness to obtain required certifications.

  • Competitive hourly wage (based on experience).
  • Opportunities for overtime and consistent 12-hour shifts.
  • Training and certification support.
  • A stable, growing company with a strong safety culture.
