Full job description

NovaDome is seeking a hands-on Project Manager to oversee projects from internal handoff through production, quality control, shipping, and completion.

This is not a strictly office-based project management role. The successful candidate will work closely with our shop and operations team, provide day-to-day direction, answer operational questions, remove roadblocks, coordinate resources, and ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to approved drawings and customer requirements.

What You’ll Do

  • Plan and manage projects from handoff through production, shipping, installation support, and closeout
  • Develop project schedules, milestones, work plans, and completion dates
  • Coordinate labour, materials, equipment, purchasing, logistics, and shipping requirements
  • Provide daily leadership and support to the shop and operations team
  • Remain accessible to employees for questions, clarification, coaching, and problem-solving
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, specifications, and measurements
  • Translate project drawings and requirements into practical production steps
  • Identify risks, delays, missing information, and scope concerns before they affect project delivery
  • Monitor labour, materials, freight, and other project costs against approved budgets
  • Work with the Shop Team Lead to maintain quality standards and address deficiencies
  • Coordinate with Sales, Estimating, Finance, Customer Service, Logistics, vendors, contractors, and customers
  • Support practical training, process improvements, and the development of operational procedures
  • Promote and enforce safe-work practices and NovaDome’s Health and Safety requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum three years of experience in project management, project coordination, production supervision, construction management, manufacturing, or a related operational role
  • Previous experience leading or directing employees in a shop, construction, manufacturing, fabrication, or hands-on work environment
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings
  • Experience developing schedules, coordinating labour and materials, and managing deadlines
  • Experience monitoring project costs, labour hours, materials, or budgets
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving ability
  • Clear, professional communication and leadership skills
  • Strong organization, follow-through, and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple active projects and changing priorities
  • Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel when required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Word

Preferred Experience

  • Education or training in project management, construction management, engineering technology, manufacturing, or business operations
  • Experience in fiberglass, composites, modular construction, fabrication, or custom manufacturing
  • Experience with shipping, freight, inventory, receiving, or logistics
  • Experience using systems such as QuickBooks Online, Fishbowl, HubSpot, Ninety, or similar software
  • First Aid, WHMIS, forklift, or occupational health and safety training

Pay: $75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
