Position Summary:

The Executive Project and Business Coordinator will identify growth opportunities, strengthen customer relationships, and support strategic sales initiatives. This role will be responsible for developing new business, expanding exiting accounts, and collaborating with other department to drive revenue growth, innovation, and long-term relationships.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Business Development & Market Expansion:

  • Identify, research and evaluate opportunities for new commodities, product lines, and value-added offerings.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and growth opportunities.
  • Monitor account performance and identify opportunities for growth and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities, and sales activities.

Product Development & Innovation:

  • Collaborate with the growing team to evaluate and trial new crop varieties aligned with customer demand and market trends.
  • Research and assess new varieties, including disease-resistant options such as rugose-resistant tomato varieties.
  • Develop innovative packaging solutions that enhance product presentation and meet customer and market expectations.
  • Source and evaluate new packaging concepts, materials, and suppliers.

Retail & Competitive Market Intelligence:

  • Conduct regular store visits to evaluate merchandising, product quality, packaging presentation, pricing, and competitive positioning.
  • Incorporate store visits into business travel schedules whenever feasible.
  • Inspect products, and document shelf presence, competitor activity, pricing, and promotional programs through photographs.

Trade Show & Event Coordination:

  • Lead planning and execution of trade shows and industry events, including the CPMA Convention and Trade Show.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure booth readiness, event logistics, vendor coordination, shipment of materials, utility requirements, and project deadlines are met.
  • Work closely with internal departments and external vendors to ensure successful event execution.

Executive & Administrative Support:

  • Provide administrative and project coordination support to senior leadership.
  • Coordinate meetings, travel arrangements, and schedules as required.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, meeting agendas, and follow-up action items.
  • Track key projects, deadlines, and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
  • Assist with correspondence, stakeholder communications, and document management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or a Diploma in Business, Marketing, Agriculture Supply chain or a related field is preferred
  • 3 years of experience in a business development, sales, account management or related roles
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and work independently
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Experience in agriculture, fresh produce, food production, or manufacturing is required
  • Travel for customer meeting, store visits, grower visits, and industry events is required

Pay: $50,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
