Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Bakery Clerk to join our team. This role involves assisting customers, maintaining bakery displays, and ensuring the smooth operation of our bakery section. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and food service, along with excellent customer service skills. Previous experience in food handling, kitchen work, or the food industry is a plus. This position offers an opportunity to work in a vibrant bakery environment where quality and customer satisfaction are our top priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them with their selections
  • Prepare and package baked goods, ensuring proper food handling and safety standards are maintained
  • Restock bakery displays and ensure products are fresh and appealing
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery area, including equipment and work surfaces
  • Follow food safety protocols and proper hygiene practices at all times
  • Assist with food preparation tasks, including slicing, packaging, and assembling baked goods
  • Support the team during busy hours by providing excellent customer service and efficient service delivery

Skills

  • Previous restaurant or food service experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of food preparation, baking, and cooking techniques
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
  • Understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Basic knowledge of packaging baked goods for retail sale
  • Kitchen experience within the food industry is advantageous
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
