The Opportunity:

We are looking for a Service Route Driver to join our team. The mission of the role is to deliver, maintain, and service portable restrooms and sanitation equipment so that people have clean, reliable, and respectful places to take care of basic needs, wherever they are.On paper it’s about service and sanitation. In reality, it’s about being the unseen caretaker of human comfort and dignity.

This position reports to the Route Service Supervisor. We have a structured training program that includes training on the operation of the truck and systems, cleaning procedures, and best practices for customer service.

We are located in Headingley, Manitoba. There is no bus service, so you must have reliable transportation to and from work.

Compensation: $18-25 per hour

What you’ll be doing:

  • Cleaning and sanitizing portable restrooms at customer sites along your assigned route
  • Taking care of the assigned truck to maintain a professional image
  • Communicating with other drivers and dispatch to maintain efficiency on your route, completing work order notes on a tablet after every service.

The skills you bring:

  • Good knowledge of the city routes and ability to use GPS tracking system and tablets
  • Experience delivery driving, general labour, car wash, or cleaning is an asset
  • Ability to lift 70 lbs and execute the physical tasks of the job
  • Previous work experience driving a large truck considered an asset
  • Ability to work outside year-round in all weather conditions
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills and experience
  • Patience and care when operating a truck, especially in winter
  • Experience operating mechanical and hydraulic systems considered an asset
  • Class 5 Driver’s License with driver’s abstract
  • Ability to work alone or with a team
