Owner Operator – Reefer Van Driver Contract | Full-Time Hours | 5 Days/Week

Vehicle Requirement (Please Read Before Applying): This role requires you to personally own a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500, High Roof, 170" Extended Wheelbase, with a fully functional refrigeration (reefer) unit. Applications from candidates who do not own this exact vehicle, or whose reefer unit is not currently operational, will not be considered. We are looking for reliable and hardworking Owner Operators with a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500 High Roof 170" Extended reefer van OR 14-16 foot box reefer truck to join our delivery team on a contract basis. This is a physical, early-morning route position serving communities on routes of 300–400 km or more. If you already own the required vehicle, take pride in it, show up on time, and can handle the demands of a fast-paced delivery environment, we want to hear from you.
Compensation
- $1.25 per kilometre on routes 350 km and over (one way) + $10/Stop
- $30 daily loading supplement
Schedule
- 3–5 days per week
- 5:00 AM start time
Key Responsibilities
- Report to depot at 4:30 AM for hand bomb loading of product onto your vehicle
- Complete daily routes averaging 16–20 stops across communities 350+ km out
- Deliver product using a dolly and follow specific delivery instructions at each stop
- Maintain accurate deliveries and ensure all stops are completed as directed
- Communicate promptly with dispatch regarding delays, issues, or changes on packing slips or deliveries
- Problem-solve on the fly and adapt to route challenges as they arise
- Keep your vehicle clean, road-ready, and mechanically reliable at all times; communicate issues in advance
Qualifications & Requirements
- Must personally own a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500, High Roof, 170" Extended Wheelbase — no exceptions, no substitutions only bigger box truck is applicable.
- Refrigeration unit must be installed, functional, and well-maintained
- Ability to consistently lift 50 lbs throughout the duration of the shift
- Comfortable with physical, hands-on loading and dolly-based deliveries
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow specific delivery instructions
- Self-motivated with excellent time management — punctuality is essential
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently
- Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record
- Proof of vehicle insurance and registration required (must match the vehicle above)
