Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating heavy-duty trucks over long distances, ensuring timely delivery of freight across various routes.

Most common route will be BC-CA. For a Solo driver

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate long-haul trucks to transport freight across regional and national routes
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance
  • Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed
  • Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, records, and documentation in accordance with company policies
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules and issues
  • Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle operability
  • Adhere to all federal and state transportation regulations, including hours of service requirements
  • Assist with warehouse operations involving freight handling and equipment operation when not on the road

Experience

  • Proven 3 years experience as a commercial truck driver, preferably with long-haul routes
  • Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols
  • Skills in forklift operation, heavy equipment operation, and automotive repair are advantageous
  • Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with clean driving record
  • Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently
  • Strong understanding of transportation regulations and compliance standards
  • Prior experience with logistics software or electronic logging devices (ELDs).
