Microbulk Driver - Class 3 (full time)

Prince George, BC, Canada | req31643

The Microbulk Driver is accountable for the delivery of Co2, and/or Argon and Nitrogen to customers with multi-bulk installations on customer sites or premises. This position will be 4 x 10hr shifts (Tuesday to Friday).

What you will enjoy doing*

  • In this role, you will deliver microbulk products to scheduled customers using a tandem truck, single axle truck, or tractor-trailer combination
  • You will load and unload cryogenic liquids while following all required safety procedures and handling standards
  • Completing electronic trip reports, fuel tickets, and other transportation-related documentation will be a regular part of the role
  • You will conduct site surveys at customer locations, assessing equipment conditions and identifying potential tank repairs or maintenance requirements
  • The role involves using handheld electronic devices to process deliveries and capture customer transaction information accurately
  • You will follow established operating procedures to safely and efficiently complete deliveries at customer sites
  • Performing thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections is an important responsibility, helping ensure equipment remains safe and compliant
  • You will communicate any maintenance or operational concerns identified during inspections to support vehicle reliability and safety
  • Flexibility is important, as the role may include participation in on-call operational support rotations when required
  • Above all, you'll play a key role in delivering products safely, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining compliance with all transportation and safety requirements

What makes you great*

  • The role is ideal for someone with a high school diploma or equivalent experience, combined with a strong focus on safety and customer service
  • You will bring at least 24 months of commercial driving experience, including recent experience operating equipment similar in size and type to the vehicles used in this role
  • Experience hauling liquids is essential, with a minimum of 24 months of liquid hauling experience required
  • A strong driving record is important, with no major preventable vehicle incidents within the past 24 months, along with the ability to successfully complete a road test demonstrating safe, defensive driving practices
  • You will be required to maintain the appropriate medical fitness certification for commercial drivers and be comfortable with the physical requirements of the role, including lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Relevant industry or product knowledge is considered an asset, particularly experience working with compressed gases and safe gas-handling practices
  • A valid Class 3 driver's licence with air brake endorsement is required, along with knowledge of Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) and WHMIS requirements
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and a basic understanding of vehicle maintenance will help support safe and efficient operations
  • Comfort using technology is important, including onboard computer systems and smartphones to support daily transportation activities
  • Overall, the role is well suited for someone who is safety-focused, dependable, and confident operating specialized equipment while maintaining compliance with all transportation regulations
