Welcome to L'Hermitage Hotel Vancouver

L'Hermitage Hotel is located on the corner of Richards and Robson Street in the very heart of Vancouver's shopping and entertainment district and only blocks from its financial centre. L'Hermitage Hotel is a luxury Boutique hotel, clean-lined, coolly stylish with just a touch of urban sophistication. Exclusively located on the 5th, 6th and 7th floors of a residential tower, we offer traditional hotel rooms and suites in addition to One and Two Bedroom "homes" complete with fully-equipped kitchen.

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the full-time position of Bell person- Valet driver (day time-32-40 hours/week) 4-5 shifts a week. You will be working in an 'empowered' environment. Once fully trained, you will have the authority and decision-making skills to make a personal impact with the guests of the hotel. Responsibilities Include:

Being knowledgeable of the most frequently asked questions by our guests. Providing 5 star service and communication at all times.

  • Greet all Hotel guests & residents in the lobby in a warm and professional manner.
  • Assist guest with loading and unloading luggage
  • Safely Park and bring up guest vehicles from the underground parking garage
  • Assist with rooming/escorting Guests upon arrival to the room and explain all important features.
  • Make deliveries to guest rooms as instructed
  • Carry out any other duties requested by Front Desk Agents or Front Office Manager
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and tidy work area at all times (including the lobby and the area of the hotel entrance)

Working Conditions:

  • Constant standing and walking throughout shift
  • Constant manning of the entrance
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lb

Job Requirements

  • Excellent written and communication skills in English - second language an asset
  • Must possess valid driver's license - registered in BC and must obtain and present up-to-date Driver's Abstract free of any serious demerit points. Ability to drive cars with manual and automatic transmissions necessary.
  • Must be able to work evening, all days of the week and holidays
  • Valid Canadian Work Permit
  • Professional appearance and attitude
  • Requires strong physical condition as work is of a demanding nature.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 per week
