Get Paid to Lift & Become a Moving Hero

Are you ready to cancel your gym membership, and get paid to work out?

We are Goodtogo, a proudly locally owned and operated moving company, and we are looking for highly motivated Class 5 Drivers to join our crew. We don’t just move boxes; we move our neighbors, helping them transition into exciting new chapters of their lives. If you love staying active and building connections within your community, this might be the perfect fit for you!

STOP. Before you hit apply, we want to be completely upfront: this is an incredibly hard, physically demanding job. You aren't just sitting behind the wheel; our drivers are also our movers. You will be lifting heavy furniture, navigating tight stairwells, and sweating through long days. It requires serious grit, a strong work ethic, and unwavering commitment to your team and our clients - but if you thrive on hard work, the rewards are up for grabs.

Why You’ll Love Working With Us

  • The Ultimate Workout Plan: Say goodbye to lifting weights in a stuffy gym. You’ll be building functional strength and getting paid hourly to do it.
  • Every Day is an Adventure: Each service is a new location and a new client with different inventory, preferences, and requirements
  • Community Connection: You’ll be exploring our city, meeting wonderful people and providing a service that truly earns honest and heartfelt appreciation.
  • Local Pride: Goodtogo is locally owned and operated. You aren't just an employee number in a massive corporate machine; you are a vital part of our local operations.

Core Duties & Responsibilities

As a Class 5 Driver and Mover at Goodtogo, your day-to-day will be an active mix of driving, heavy lifting, and hands-on customer service. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Safe Vehicle Operation: Confidently driving and maneuvering our 5-tonne straight box trucks through residential neighborhoods, tight loading zones, and city traffic.
  • Safety & Compliance: Conducting thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in strict compliance with NSC (National Safety Code) regulations.
  • Heavy Lifting & Loading: Safely packing, wrapping, loading, securing, and unloading clients' furniture and personal belongings. This involves carrying heavy, awkward items up and down stairs.
  • Customer Experience: Serving as the on-site face of Goodtogo. You will greet clients, communicate the moving plan, and handle basic paperwork or payments with a positive, professional attitude.
  • Strategic Packing: Follow the loading strategy in the back of the truck to ensure all items are completely secure and the vehicle's weight is properly distributed.
  • Equipment Management: Properly utilizing and maintaining all moving equipment, including dollies, straps, moving blankets, and hand tools for basic furniture assembly/disassembly.

Desired Qualifications

  • Certifications: Active NSC (National Safety Code) certification is strictly required (training provided for the right applicants)
  • Licensing: A valid Class 5 Driver's License accompanied by a clean commercial driver's abstract.
  • Driving Experience: Proven, hands-on experience comfortably operating 5-tonne straight box trucks (or equivalent commercial vehicles, training available).
  • Physical Fitness: You must be highly capable of performing continuous heavy labor for the duration of your shift, or be willing to subject yourself to the rigor required to attain that strength over time through training
  • Trust & Reliability: Ability to pass a mandatory, comprehensive background check. (Our clients trust us with their homes and their valuables, so this is non-negotiable).
  • Local Knowledge: Familiarity with Lethbridge routes and neighborhoods is a strong asset.

Ready to Hit the Road?

If you have the muscle, the license, and the commitment to tackle a tough but rewarding job, we want to hear from you.

To Apply: Please send your resume, your driver's abstract, and a quick note about why you're the perfect fit for the Goodtogo team to sales@goodtogomoving.com

Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour

Benefits:

  • Flexible schedule
  • On-site parking
