Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Roll-Off Driver to join our team at New Dundee Trucking. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of Roll-Off containers from various sites for our yard at Dundee Recycling. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, an excellent driving record with a minimum of 3 years of commercial driving experience with an AZ license. The successful candidate will play a crucial role on our team, interacting and working closely with Dundee Recycling operations and dispatch to ensure smooth and efficient delivery, exchanges and pick-ups of containers for metal recycling.

Duties

  • Safely operate roll-off trucks to transport containers.
  • Load and unload containers at designated locations, ensuring proper placement.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups, using mobile to record bin numbers.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding schedules and any issues that arise from a mechanical standpoint.
  • Adhere to all regulations related to transportation and waste management.
  • Perform basic maintenance on vehicles as needed to ensure optimal performance.

Skills

  • Proficient in commercial driving, particularly lugger & roll-off trucks.
  • Valid commercial driving license (AZ) is required.
  • Knowledge of automotive repair is a plus for maintaining vehicle functionality.
  • Experience with freight handling and logistics is beneficial.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
