Full job description

We are looking for a registered early childhood educator with at least 2-3 years infant experience, good communication skills and organizational skills to work as a team member in our infant room located in the beautiful, and safe neighbourhood near High Park. We are in an established community with lovely families who value education and the well being of their children.

The RECE will be responsible for the care and education of a group of children as part of a teaching team as well as be able to work independently. Responsibilities include planning and implementation of an age/stage appropriate curriculum. Observing and documenting those observations to help create weekly programs as well as guide infants with their daily routines and development. The RECE will be able to be creative in their programming where they can bring their ideas to life and be a part of a supportive environment and community.

The successful candidate selected for this position must be a graduate of an approved Early Childhood Education institution or equivalent and be a member in good standing of the College of Early Childhood Educators. He/she must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of the Child Care and Early Years Act, ELECT, the Early Learning and Care Assessment for Quality Improvement and the Centre’s program statement and policies. This person must have a valid certification in standard First Aid including infant/child CPR and a valid Criminal Reference Check, health assessment, and up to date immunization including being fully vaccinated for COVID-19.

Pay: $52,000.00 per year
