As a Line Cook at OEB, you'll play an important role in delivering the creative, beautifully presented dishes our guests have come to know and love. You'll work alongside a dedicated kitchen team to ensure every plate meets OEB's standards for quality, consistency, and presentation.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook OEB menu items according to established recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.
  • Execute breakfast and brunch dishes with attention to quality, flavour, consistency, and presentation.
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Set up and maintain your station, ensuring ingredients and supplies are properly stocked and ready for service.
  • Coordinate with fellow cooks, chefs, and front-of-house team members to ensure timely and seamless service.
  • Follow OEB's food safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures, including proper storage, labeling, and temperature control.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation throughout each shift.
  • Assist with daily prep, inventory rotation, receiving deliveries, and minimizing food waste.
  • Support fellow team members during busy service periods to maintain smooth kitchen operations.
  • Take pride in every dish leaving the kitchen and contribute to an exceptional guest experience.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Previous line cook or restaurant kitchen experience is preferred, particularly in a high-volume breakfast, brunch, or casual dining environment.
  • Experience preparing eggs, breakfast dishes, and working on multiple kitchen stations is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen equipment.
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling practices.
  • Ability to multitask, stay organized, and maintain quality during busy service periods.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude.
  • Dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards.
  • Willingness to learn OEB's recipes, culinary techniques, and presentation standards.
  • Availability to work mornings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
