Resident Manager Couple / Two-Person Team – Nanaimo, BC

Pay: From CA$40,800 per year, per person, plus bonuses, mileage allowance, additional income opportunities, and discounted accommodation.

We are currently looking for a reliable and motivated two-person Resident Manager team to manage two residential apartment buildings totaling 84 units in Nanaimo, as well as provide general maintenance support for a nearby commercial property.

This is a full-time, live-in position for two people, with responsibilities shared between building management, administration, cleaning, landscaping, and general maintenance.

About the Position

The successful team will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of two residential buildings while maintaining a clean, safe, positive, and well-managed environment for our tenants.

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities will be shared between the two Resident Managers and include:

• Show available suites to prospective tenants.
• Complete leasing paperwork and other tenant-related administrative duties.
• Respond to tenant inquiries, concerns, and maintenance requests.
• Perform regular cleaning and upkeep of common areas.
• Conduct routine building and property inspections.
• Perform minor repairs and troubleshoot general building maintenance issues.
• Coordinate with contractors and service providers when required.
• Maintain the grounds, including grass cutting and other seasonal outdoor work.
• Perform some general maintenance and property checks at a nearby commercial property.
• Perform administrative duties related to the operation of the buildings.
• Additional duties as required.

Qualifications

• This position is intended for a two-person team capable of sharing the management, cleaning, administrative, and maintenance responsibilities.
• Previous experience in resident management, property management, building maintenance, or a similar role is an asset but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable interacting with tenants and resolving day-to-day concerns professionally.
• Basic handyman skills and the ability to troubleshoot minor maintenance issues.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including carrying tools and supplies and completing outdoor maintenance.
• Good organizational and administrative skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of the BC Residential Tenancy Act is an asset but not required.
• Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently as a team.
