Full job description

Biocode Ai was founded with the vision of helping improve patient outcomes through the application of technology. We believe technology can increase the capacity of the healthcare system, unlock new and novel treatments, and transform the care model to improve the lives of patients everywhere.

We are looking for a driven Senior AI Data Scientist to join our growing team. This role will work with both the Data Science and Engineering teams developing new product features, working in research and development, and developing end-to-end evaluation tests. This is an applied data science role building features for production and supporting production pipelines to deliver new features to users. Experience working with medical or veterinary datasets is an asset and this role involves working with medical indicators, outputs, and outcome metrics to ensure medical quality and accuracy requirements are achieved.

The role also has the option to work with the engineering and full-stack development teams supporting the primary interface between research innovation and product implementation, translating experimental breakthroughs into scalable technical architectures. Biocode Ai develops patient management, diagnosis, and treatment tools with a current focus on the Veterinary industry. We have partnered with hundreds of veterinarians to develop tools that help improve workflow and patient outcomes by leveraging the latest in generative AI technology. We are working to transform the way veterinary hospitals care for patients, and we are looking for team members who want to contribute to that vision (learn more at www.fydodx.com).

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience working in healthcare research and developing healthcare methodology. The role requires building end-to-end evaluation metrics and 2-4 years of experience deploying LLM models into production.

  • New feature development; contributing to projects from conception through to production implementation.
  • Training AI models to achieve strict requirements and LLM model selection; experience testing and benchmarking different LLM models to optimize for task-specific requirements.
  • Build AI model end-to-end evaluation test suites to determine and improve model benchmarks.
  • Experience working with SQL databases and building data visualizations using Tableau is an asset.
  • Work closely with backend developers to build production level code and deploy new features into production
  • Collaborate with veterinarians and subject matter experts to define success metrics and clinically relevant training parameters.
