Title: Director of Admissions
Location: St. John’s, NL
Drive enrollment growth, conversion performance, and student success.
Venor is proud to partner with our client, Keyin College in their search for a results-driven Director of Admissions to lead student recruitment and enrollment across our growing portfolio of programs.
This senior leadership role will drive admissions performance, enrollment growth, and conversion outcomes through strong team leadership, pipeline management, and operational execution.
About Keyin College
Keyin College is one of Newfoundland and Labrador’s leading post-secondary institutions, with more than 40,000 graduates since 1980. As the province’s largest private college, we provide career-focused education designed to equip learners with practical, in-demand skills that align with workforce needs.
As we continue to grow nationally, we are evolving our admissions function to operate with greater sales rigor, accountability, forecasting discipline, and conversion focus — ensuring we attract, engage, and enroll the right students at scale.
The Role
As Director of Admissions, you will oversee the full admissions funnel, from inquiry to enrollment, ensuring the team consistently delivers strong conversion results and an exceptional prospective student experience.
You will lead a high-performing admissions team in a fast-paced, target-driven environment, fostering a culture of accountability, coaching, responsiveness, and continuous improvement. Working closely with senior leadership, you will oversee forecasting, pipeline health, admissions operations, and process optimization to support institutional enrollment goals.
What You’ll Do
Enrollment & Conversion Performance
- Own and optimize the full admissions funnel
- Drive enrollment growth through disciplined pipeline management, follow-up execution, and conversion-focused sales practices
- Ensure enrollment targets, conversion benchmarks, and forecasting expectations are consistently achieved
- Monitor and improve key performance metrics, including conversion rates, enrollment yield, speed-to-lead, follow-up effectiveness, and forecast accuracy
- Identify pipeline risks early and implement corrective actions to maintain performance against targets
- Develop reporting cadence and performance visibility for senior leadership
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and coach the admissions team to achieve individual and team targets
- Build a high-performance culture rooted in accountability, responsiveness, and measurable outcomes
- Establish clear expectations, KPIs, and activity standards across the team
- Use data and performance insights to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency
Strategy Execution & Cross-Functional Partnership
- Partner with the CRO and senior leadership to execute enrollment growth strategies and institutional priorities
- Collaborate with Marketing to improve lead quality, campaign effectiveness, and conversion outcomes
- Work cross-functionally with Operations and Academic teams to align enrollment goals with student experience
- Support expansion of recruitment channels, partnerships, schools, and community engagement opportunities
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, scalability, and admissions effectiveness
Student Experience & Operational Excellence
- Ensure prospective students receive a responsive, personalized, and high-touch admissions experience
- Act as escalation point for complex applicant situations and service recovery
- Maintain operational consistency, CRM discipline, and admissions process integrity
- Deliver accurate enrollment forecasting, reporting, and strategic insights to leadership
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience in admissions, enrollment management, recruitment, or sales leadership
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding enrollment, sales, or revenue targets
- Strong leadership experience managing performance-driven teams in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with pipeline management, forecasting, KPI reporting, and conversion optimization
- Demonstrated ability to coach teams toward improved performance and accountability
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working with CRM and lead management systems
- Ability to balance operational execution with strategic thinking
What We Offer
- Purpose & Impact: Help students access education that changes their lives
- Leadership Opportunity: Lead a key revenue-driving function during a significant growth phase
- Performance-Driven Environment: Join a team focused on accountability, outcomes, and continuous improvement
- Professional Growth: Opportunity to shape and influence the future of admissions and enrollment operations
