About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior AI & Data Governance Lead to lead day-to-day data governance, AI governance, and decision intelligence initiatives for a dynamic enterprise environment. This role is ideal for a strategic, execution-focused leader who can establish governance frameworks, streamline processes, strengthen controls, and translate complex data and AI topics into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders.

Reporting to the Director of Data Governance, you will operate as a key individual contributor while working closely with a collaborative department of nine team members. You will partner with business, technology, risk, and leadership stakeholders to shape practical governance processes that support responsible AI adoption, high-quality data, and informed decision-making.

What You’ll Do

· Lead day-to-day data governance, AI governance, and decision intelligence activities across the organization.

· Establish and improve governance processes, operating models, and controls that enable effective oversight of data and AI initiatives.

· Identify bottlenecks, gaps, and inefficiencies, then design practical processes to streamline execution and improve delivery.

· Support data quality management by helping define, monitor, and improve standards, processes, and accountability.

· Implement frameworks to evaluate, control, and monitor AI projects from intake through execution and ongoing review.

· Develop and support processes for auditing AI solutions, including control design, risk review, and governance documentation.

· Prepare and present AI use cases, risks, insights, and recommendations to senior stakeholders, including board-level audiences.

· Create and enhance dashboards, reporting, and insights using tools such as Power BI to support decision intelligence.

· Partner with stakeholders across business, technology, governance, risk, and leadership teams to drive alignment and adoption.

· Bring a people-friendly, collaborative approach while maintaining strong ownership, structure, and execution discipline.

What You Bring

· 10+ years of experience across IT, governance, leadership, data, risk, or transformation environments.

· Strong understanding of data governance principles, data quality practices, and enterprise governance operating models.

· Experience establishing or maturing AI governance processes, AI controls, risk assessment approaches, or responsible AI frameworks.

· Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders and present complex information in a clear, confident, and business-oriented way.

· Hands-on experience with Power BI, dashboards, analytics, reporting, or decision intelligence capabilities.

· Comfort working with Microsoft AI tools and modern AI platforms, including Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT.

· Strong process design, problem-solving, execution, and stakeholder management skills.

· Ability to work independently as a sole contributor while collaborating effectively with a broader governance team.

· Tech-savvy mindset with the ability to connect business needs, technology capabilities, governance requirements, and risk considerations.

· Bilingualism in English and French is considered an asset.

Why This Role Stands Out

This is a high-impact opportunity to help shape how data and AI are governed across the organization. You will play a central role in building practical frameworks, strengthening oversight, enabling responsible AI adoption, and helping leaders make better decisions through trusted data, controls, and insights.

As part of our hiring process, we use AI‑based systems to support initial applicant screening.
