Job Description and Responsibilities:

The main responsibility of the Guest Service Coordinator is to lead by example and manage all frontline employees by practicing their duties and responsibilities.

Guest Service Coordinator Responsibilities include, however are not limited to:

· Opening and Closing the Salon

· Schedule guest’s salon and spa services, while implementing proper procedures

· Greet guest and escort to waiting area

· Educate guests on services to increase service sales

· Provide excellent customer care and exceed guest expectations

· To maximize books for each service technician

· Close sales and encourage guest to pre-book services

· Cross-service selling

· Implement Aveda experiences

· Execute standard telephone procedure using appropriate customer service etiquette

· Perform appointment confirmations, 48 hours prior to appointment schedule

· Inform service technicians of daily schedules and any adjustments

· Resolve guest challenges, utilizing support from Salon Manager when necessary

· Support retail and service staff with retail productivity

· Create and maintain customer base

· Responsible for balancing and checking register drawer

· Perform other duties as assigned

Additionally, Assistant Manager Responsibilities include, however are not limited to:

· Assuming the manager position when manager is not available at any time

· Make sure that all staff are following Diva’s standard for customer service with no exceptions

· Ensure a smooth flow between all departments of the salon and spa and act as a link amongst them to provide effective teamwork

· Participate in Aveda required training

· Assist in monthly staff meetings, including education of the staff

· Assisting with Staff Management including monitoring, conflict resolution, and professional conduct

· Assisting with Performance Management including coaching and performance reviews

· Other administrative tasks delegated by the Manager or Owner

Qualifications:

· High school diploma required

· Secondary diploma or degree in a related business field is a strong asset

· Strong customer-service background

· 2+ years previous salon experience; Experience with Aveda is a strong asset

· High standard of professionalism

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Strong organizational skills

· Must have flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Working Conditions:

· High traffic salon and spa in a busy location
