As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Support Technician L2 to join our team.

About the Role

As a Support Technician L2, you will be responsible for providing server and workstation support, with tasks ranging from end user assistance, break-fix and application issues through to server/virtual machine deployments, networking, cyber-security, Azure infrastructure, and Microsoft 365 services covering practically the entire Microsoft product stack.

This role includes a requirement for after-hours and on-call availability, when required, and which may include occasional planned and emergency after-hours support.

Location: Whitehorse, YT OR Vancouver Island, BC

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Work Mode: On site for local candidates (Whitehorse, YT) OR Hybrid for candidates on Vancouver Island ( Parksville or surrounding towns); 60% work from home, 20% work from our office location in Parksville, 20% physically in Whitehorse. Travel costs to Whitehorse (limited to flights and accommodations) would be covered. Travel to Parksville, if outside that area, would not be covered.

What You Will Do

  • Triage and resolve escalations from L1; perform advanced troubleshooting (Windows, M365, networks, identity, endpoints).
  • Administer Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint/OneDrive, Teams), including basic security & compliance (Defender for Office 365, DLP/eDiscovery).
  • Manage AD DS/GPO and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Entra Connect (hybrid identity), and on-premises Windows Server environments.
  • Support virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere/ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V) including provisioning, storage, and performance troubleshooting.
  • Maintain BCDR solutions (e.g., Veeam/Datto), perform test restores, and document RPO/RTO.
  • Support extended technology solutions, including VoIP telephony and video surveillance systems.
  • Respond to after-hours escalation requests for urgent work or maintenance windows (planned).
  • Providing excellent customer service skills and the ability to go above and beyond for our clients Infrastructure and configuration troubleshooting
  • Monitoring network security to detect and respond to potential threats and vulnerabilities
  • Visit clients on-site as required
  • Being a team player and always prepared to help when needed.

What We Are Looking

  • Experience in a multi-tenant, SLA-driven environment.
  • Microsoft 365: Experience with tenant administration (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams) with security basics (Defender for Office 365, DLP).
  • Identity & endpoint management: AD/GPO, Microsoft Entra ID, Entra Connect, MFA solutions.
  • Virtualization: VMware vSphere/ESXi and/or Hyper‑V.
  • Networking: Solid L2/L3 fundamentals (DHCP/DNS/VLANs/VPNs); firewall experience (Fortinet/Cisco/UniFi) preferred.
  • VoIP and IP telephony: Experience with telecoms solutions, implementation, administration and troubleshooting.
  • Video Surveillance: Experience with video camera surveillance systems, extracting footage, implementation, administration and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with remote support tools.
  • Experience in web development (HTML, Wordpress, WebDev), while not absolutely required, is considered an asset.
  • Driver’s license & vehicle; willingness to travel locally to client sites.
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment without constant supervision.
  • Able to multi-task successfully, prioritizing workload and meeting time expectations.
  • High level of professionalism and able to respond extremely quickly to client facing interactions.

  • Ability to Travel between our Vancouver Island location and Whitehorse location.
