Job Overview
We are a busy GM Dealership and are seeking a GM knowledgeable and customer-oriented Service Advisor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will act as the primary point of contact for customers seeking automotive services, ensuring they receive exceptional service and support throughout their experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and a passion for the automotive industry, enabling them to effectively communicate with both customers and technicians.

Duties

  • Greet customers promptly and professionally, assessing their needs and providing relevant information about services offered.
  • Utilize your mechanical knowledge to explain repair options and service recommendations clearly to customers.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Upsell additional services based on customer needs, ensuring they are aware of all available options for their vehicle.
  • Collaborate with mechanics and technicians to ensure timely completion of services while keeping customers informed about the status of their vehicles.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, service orders, and follow-up communications.
  • Foster long-term relationships with customers by providing excellent service and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a GM customer service role is essential; experience in an automotive repair or dealership environment is highly desirable.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge is preferred to effectively communicate technical information to customers.
  • Proven skills in cash handling and sales, particularly in upselling services or products related to automotive care.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse clientele.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer experiences.
