Full job description

Ancaster Food Equipment is looking for a driven Inside Sales Representative to join our growing sales team.

This isn't a cold-calling-only sales job.

AFE generates a steady flow of inbound opportunities from customers across Canada looking for commercial refrigeration, restaurant equipment, and complete foodservice solutions. Your job is to understand what the customer needs, recommend the right equipment, prepare the quote, follow up, and close the sale.

Our customers range from independent restaurant owners and convenience stores to contractors, institutions, franchise groups, and large multi-location accounts.

If you're competitive, organized, comfortable on the phone, and motivated by earning more when you sell more, we'd like to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Respond to inbound sales leads by phone, email, website chat, and other channels.
  • Speak directly with business owners, operators, contractors, and purchasing departments.
  • Determine customer requirements and recommend the right commercial equipment.
  • Prepare professional quotes and equipment packages.
  • Follow up consistently on open quotes and opportunities.
  • Negotiate and close sales.
  • Build relationships with existing customers to generate repeat business.
  • Identify opportunities for additional equipment, accessories, warranties, and complementary products.
  • Assist customers with product comparisons, sizing, specifications, electrical requirements, dimensions, warranties, freight, and delivery options.
  • Maintain accurate opportunities, notes, and follow-up activities within our CRM.
  • Work closely with purchasing, logistics, operations, and service to ensure a smooth customer experience.
  • Develop strong knowledge of commercial refrigeration and restaurant equipment.

What We're Looking For

We're less concerned about whether you've sold restaurant equipment before and more interested in whether you know how to sell.

You should be:

  • Confident speaking with customers on the phone.
  • Comfortable asking for the sale.
  • Persistent with follow-up without being pushy.
  • Motivated by targets and commission.
  • Organized enough to manage a large number of active quotes and opportunities.
  • Able to quickly learn technical product information.
  • Comfortable comparing products and explaining differences to customers.
  • Strong with email, computers, CRM systems, and online communication.
  • Able to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
  • Professional and dependable.

Previous experience in B2B sales, inside sales, commercial equipment, restaurant equipment, appliances is a strong asset.

Experience with Zoho CRM or another CRM platform is also an asset.

Compensation

Base Salary: Starting at $50,000 per year, depending on experience

Plus:

  • Uncapped sales commission
  • Additional earning potential for top performers
