Position: Retail Clerk / Barista
Position Type: Full-time/Part-time based on availability
Location: Lukes Drug Mart - Bridgeland and Killarney locations

With the additions of soft serve, coffee service, vinyl records, lifestyle items and grocery as well as a second location in Killarney established in 2010, Lukes aims to offer a one stop shop for everyday living.
Key Responsibilities:
Working closely with the Store Managers and other team members, you will be responsible for:
- Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner
- Operate the POS (point-of-sale) to process customer transactions for retail, coffee orders and grocery items
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and organized retail space and coffee bar area, adhering to food safety guidelines
- Prepare coffee, tea, and other specialty beverages orders
- Prepare soft serve orders and ensure the soft serve machine is clean and filled
- Replenish stock on retail shelves and ensure merchandise is tidy
- Assist with stocking new deliveries
- Educate customers about product offerings and make recommendations
- Ensure adequate stock levels of supplies and consumables for the coffee bar area
- Other duties as required
Experience, Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in customer service
- Availability for min of 2 closing shifts on weekdays and open availability weekends (Sat/Sun)
- Previous experience in retail or food service roles is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic math skills for cash handling
- Knowledge of food safety practices is an asset
- Familiarity with coffee brewing equipment and techniques is an asset
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada
