Since 1947, Happy Days has worked hard to provide the south-western Ontario boater with all their boating needs, including quality sales, service, parts, storage facilities and a professional staff. Satisfied customers and dedicated employees have helped us grow into a modern full-service marine facility. Today, Happy Days is one of the largest and best-equipped service facilities in south western Ontario.

We are seeking a Parts counter sales associate to join our team. This position is a Full Time opportunity.

Position: Parts Counter Sales

Regular Hours: 50 hrs/week

O.T. Hours: *as required in peak season

Wage/Salary: $20-$24/ hr (*based on experience)

Shift: Days

Location: Windsor, Ontario

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Greet and serve every walk-in or phone in customer promptly and courteously
  • Answer questions and assist customers in identifying and obtaining the correct parts and accessories to meet their needs, wants and enjoyment
  • Develop relationships with customers and determine their wants and needs
  • Accurate use of parts equipment and information resources to correctly identify required parts and accessories
  • Ensure accuracy to decrease the number of returns due to errors by miss-identification and ensure they are returned promptly
  • Actively solicit sales and suggest service related parts and accessory items in conjunction with the service department
  • Use brochures and merchandise displays as sales aides
  • Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of counters, displays, shelves, bins and customer contact area
  • Other related duties as requested

Qualifications and Skills

  • Cash handling and sales experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior parts counter and/ or accessories sales experience
  • Basic Mechanical knowledge
  • Strong computer skills, experience with Microsoft Office applications
  • Positive outlook and clear focus on customer service
  • Proven ability to provide an exceptional customer experience
  • Ability to set and achieve targeted goals
  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organization and follow up skills
  • Passion for boating considered an asset

Job Type: Full-time

Required education:

  • High school or equivalent

Required experience:

  • 1-3 years similar experience is ideal, basic industry subject matter an asset

Required licenses or certifications:

  • Full G Driver’s license and reliable transportation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
