AutoShack Retail Assistant Manager – Kanata, ON

Pay: $27.00 to $30.00 per hour + Commission
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Work Location: In person – Kanata, Ontario

AutoShack is looking for a serious retail leader.

Candidates selected for first contact will be required to complete a Test Gorilla assessment before interviews are considered. Applicants who are not willing to complete the assessment should not apply.

This role requires:

  • 3 to 5+ years of retail leadership, supervisory, or management experience
  • Experience in a corporate or multi-location retail environment
  • Full-time availability, including evenings and weekends
  • Reliable transportation and a reasonable commute to Kanata
  • A hands-on work style with the ability to lead from the floor
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move inventory throughout the shift
  • Ability to safely lift and move products up to 50 lbs

Role Overview

AutoShack is hiring a Retail Assistant Manager for our Kanata location.

This is a hands-on store leadership role. The right candidate will be responsible, dependable, physically capable, and comfortable managing staff while actively working on the floor.

The Assistant Manager will support daily store operations, maintain standards, assist customers, supervise staff, and act as Manager-on-Duty when required.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the Store Manager with daily retail operations
  • Act as Manager-on-Duty during assigned shifts
  • Open and close the store according to company procedures
  • Supervise staff performance, attendance, and workflow
  • Coach team members on customer service, sales, and operational standards
  • Handle customer and staff issues professionally
  • Maintain inventory accuracy, stock organization, and merchandising standards
  • Assist with stocking, unloading, returns, and product movement
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment
  • Support sales performance and store execution

Physical Requirements

This is an active retail environment.

Candidates must be comfortable with:

  • Standing and walking for extended periods
  • Bending, lifting, carrying, and moving inventory
  • Stocking shelves and unloading shipments
  • Handling multiple boxes and automotive products
  • Safely lifting up to 50 lbs as required
