What You Will Do
Reporting to the Program Manager, you will lead the integration of program elements and oversee the development, coordination, and execution of integrated program-level processes, including risk management, cost control, scheduling, interdependency management, operating strategies, and quality assurance to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget throughout the project life cycle.
In this role, you will work collaboratively with Program and Project Managers, Senior Project Engineers, Operations staff, the Project/Portfolio Management Office, functional support teams, and third-party stakeholders to successfully advance initiatives through the program and project stage-gate process.
This role will require you to monitor and align program objectives, resources, timelines, and project deliverables while identifying and mitigating risks that may impact project performance, quality, or schedule commitments.
As a key member of the program delivery team, you will facilitate communication and coordination across multiple stakeholders, ensuring program activities remain integrated, aligned, and focused on achieving strategic and operational goals.
You will be responsible for promoting a respectful, inclusive, and collaborative work environment that values diversity and is free from harassment and discrimination, while supporting TTC's commitment to equity, accessibility, and customer service excellence.
In this role, you will provide leadership in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of inclusive and accessible policies, programs, and services for employees and customers in accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code (OHRC), the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), related legislative requirements, and TTC policies.
As a TTC Customer Service Ambassador, you will actively support and demonstrate TTC's customer service standards by promoting positive customer experiences and fostering strong stakeholder relationships.
This position will require you to be present on-site during construction activities and operational periods to support project execution, monitor program progress, and coordinate with operational and construction teams.
You will be required to access track-level environments during both revenue and non-revenue service hours, ensuring project integration activities are effectively coordinated while maintaining compliance with all safety, operational, and regulatory requirements.
Skills
What Do You Bring?
- Completion of a post-secondary college diploma or university degree in a related discipline (e.g. engineering, architecture) plus extensive experience for large multi-discipline projects; or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.
- Proficient in the use of computer software applications relevant to the work (e.g. Microsoft Office).
- A valid Province of Ontario Class G driver’s license would be an asset. May be required use of own vehicle required for visits to construction sites that are not easily accessible by public transits.
- Extensive knowledge of project and program management processes, benefits realization with a focus on rapid transit operations, particularly rail systems operated in semi exclusive or exclusive rights-of-way.
- Extensive experience reviewing, analyzing, identifying shortfalls, and developing processes and procedures.
- Knowledge of Project/Program Integration, Interface Management, Verification and Validation activities during the Program life cycle.
- Experience managing progress and performance of Projects as part of meeting the Program objectives; Schedule, budget and benefit goals.
- Experience in Project/Program Integration is an asset.
- Experience in a transit operating environment is an asset.
- Licensed by Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) or Ontario Association of Architects (OAA) is an asset.
